ABOUT US
The Loving Connemara journey is just beginning, creating Irish crafts and gifts inspired by the landscape and culture of Connemara. If you have ever been to this stunning region in the West of Ireland, you already appreciate how the rugged terrain can capture the heart and instill a connection that will linger for a lifetime.
OUR DESIGNS
We set out to design products that capture the essence of Connemara and Ireland, be it the landscape, culture or personality of our beautiful country. Creating something authentically Irish, a piece of Ireland that you can have with you no matter where you are in the world.
Our first creation was a silk scarf that artistically represents the beauty of Connemara marble. Connemara marble a rare green rock with stunning tones and patterns as unique as a fingerprint—no two pieces of Connemara marble are the same. So, we thought that making something unique and stylish would be a great place to start.
OUR START
The company was set up by Geraldine O’Callaghan, a native of Connemara. Her love, passion and admiration for the area was the thinking behind the name of the company.
Connemara Marble has been in her family for generations, using it to make souvenirs, jewellery and other handmade marble crafts. This led to the idea of using its unique design and pattern with other mediums and starting a new generation of gifts and keepsakes from this small but impressive area of the world.
