The brooch was created by laying a variety of threads on a piece of red silk, and machine stitching in place with orange thread. The pendant attached (from ArtDesignBySu) inspired the brooch, with its fiery colours and pattern. The brooch measures 2 3/8 inches x 2 1/2 inches ( 6 x 4 1/2 cms) gift wrapped for Christmas.

I like making jewellery, especially earrings, always looking to create a different look; I particularly love to feature re-worked, pre-loved, upcycled pieces. I love fabrics and have made some bags, decorated with lots of different textiles and images; I fashion glasses cases from felt, lined with various fabrics, including silks; I like to knit sometimes; sometimes I like to paint in acrylics. Ultimately, I tend to go wherever the creativity takes me; I look forward to featuring various items in my shop.
