Handcrafted Red Stag Star Christmas Decoration
A star shaped Christmas ornament featuring festive red and gold holly and stag patterned fabric. Eco-friendly, they are sustainably handcrafted in Ireland using upcycled fill, perfect for hanging on your Christmas tree this year!
Ethically made, sustainable and beautiful decorations for your Christmas tree.
Convert holly star decorations feature festive cotton fabric filled with 100% upcycled content, making them at least 81% upcycled by weight overall.
The filling is scrap saved from other Convert creations throughout the year, which is hand shredded then mixed with clean hollowfibre from old clean duvets. The star is finished with a selection of glass and reclaimed beads on a golden twine hanging loop.
Sold individually, one ornament supplied.
Due to using scrap fill the ornament may have a slightly uneven surface. This is not a flaw just the trade-off from using a beautifully sustainable filler – but I think they are imperfectly perfect!
Each ornament is unique and fabric print placement will vary, bead size and shape may vary slightly from pictured. This item is not a toy and keep away from sources of heat.
Measurements (all approximate):
Width: 11CM at the widest point
Length: 11CM for star and 19CM overall from top of hanging loop to base of star.

Thanks for stopping by, this is the Convert story.
Did you know it can take 20,000 litres of water to make the cotton fabric for a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, roughly the same amount an average Irish citizen uses in 5 months?
Did you know that in Europe, every second the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is incinerated or sent to landfill?
Did you know the fashion industry is responsible for 10 % of annual global carbon emissions, more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined?
Maybe you do. A couple of years ago I didn’t, but when I did the idea for Convert was born.
I am Hannah the creator behind Convert. I have a background in textiles and I love the challenge of taking a preloved textile and giving it a new life as something else. All Convert products contain at least 70% upcycled fabric by weight.
I don’t buy something brand new and “repurpose” it, I will always be transparent when I have used a new element and all of my product descriptions identify the % of upcycled fabric it contains.
All fabric scraps get re-worked into some of the Convert product range to aim for zero-waste production.
Convert sustainable textile creations for living and gifting are handcrafted in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
