A unique picture made especially for you. Sea Glass is glass that has been smoothed and frosted from years of rolling in the waves, no two pieces are the same, which makes for a completely unique and customised gift. Each piece of sea glass carries a little piece of Irish history, as it would have originated from household products such as bottles, jars, glasses, vases, to name but a few. The Sea Glass for your picture is beachcombed from the shores of Ireland’s East Coast, and the best pieces in terms of shape, colour, and appearance are chosen for your picture. Sea Glass looks beautiful when the light shines upon it.
The birthday boy or girl will be standing holding a bunch of 5 balloons. The person will be made of sea glass and the balloons will be painted beach pebbles with the birthday age eg.21, 30, 40 or other.
A personalised inscription can be added below the picture eg “Fabulous at Forty / Fifty”, “Flirty at Thirty”, “names” or “other personal inscription of your choice”.
Pictures are framed in a quality Irish made white wood frame (26cm x 26cm) with glass front panel, pictures can be wall hung or stand freely on a shelf.
Please note, photos are for guidance only, your picture is made to order, therefore it will have different pieces of sea glass (to the photos shown), and these will vary is size, shape and colour. However the design (one person holding bunch of birthday balloons) will be the same.

Hi, I’m Niamh, a lifelong Thalassophile and Sea Glass Addict! As a child I collected Sea Glass, or “jewels”, as I called them, and I took great delight when I found them half hidden, glistening in the sand.
Now, years later, and living on the County Wicklow coast, I still take great delight when I find Sea Glass treasure on the beach, and wonder about the story behind each unique piece. Did it originate from a vase once sat lovingly on a table decades before, or a glass, a bottle, or a 100 year old Crystal Chandelier! I use the best pieces I find in my art, with beautifully smoothed edges and a frosted surface, which means they’ve been rolling around in the sea and scultped by the waves for many years. Heart shapes are a favourite of mine to find, it still amazes me how a broken piece of glass can be sculpted by the waves into into a little glass heart. Sea Glass is becoming harder to find as glass is now commonly recycled instead of ending up in the sea.Each picture is unique, I love making new designs and can make very personalised pictures, customised exactly to your needs. The pictures make a unique and special gift, and when the light catches the glass, they look gorgeous.
