Ny-Night Portable Black-Out Blind With Constellations
Darkened sleeping environments can help sensitive sleepers – especially babies, toddlers and young children – to link sleep cycles to sleep and nap well; even on bright days, early summer mornings and late summer evenings.
The blinds are available in a Large size and can be adjusted to a smaller window if needed. They can also be used on Velux windows.
The suction cups don’t mark or damage windows and you can use the Velcro pads to pleat the curtains to fit a smaller-sized window.
They are great value for money as can be used at home or when travelling. Take it with you to ensure wherever you are the dark environment is kept the same for your Sleepy Star. The blinds can be put up and taken down easily so aren’t constantly there when not needed.
The blinds are lightweight and portable and come with a handy carrier bag for storage and travel.
Sleepy Stars Special Edition: These black-out blinds have been designed with input from our friends in Astronomy Ireland. The blinds feature an image of the Northern Hemisphere Constellations with the main constellations and stars named. You have the option of having the blinds with or without the glow in the dark feature. To “activate” the glow in the dark feature you can “charge” the images by exposing it to light. The glow in the dark images fade during the night and they are fun and educational. The glow in the dark feature is not too bright that they would interfere with the melatonin (sleep hormone). A fun facts booklet is also included with each blind which can help stimulate an interest in the stars and astronomy.
Size:
Large: 130cm x 200cm, Weight 649g
The suction cups are on every side of the blinds so they can be rotated as needed to fit different sized window widths or lengths. They can also be pleated with the Velcro pads to fit smaller windows.
Options:
Ny-Night Black-Out blind – Glow in the Dark Constellations (NB. The glow in the dark feature is not too bright that they would interfere with sleep.)
Ny-Night Black-Out blind – Non-Glow in the Dark Constellations
*Please ensure you have checked that the Black-Out Blinds you are ordering are the correct size as specified above. Due to COVID-19 Black-Out Blinds cannot be returned once removed from the original packaging if it is due to a sizing issue.

Sleepy Stars Ltd is based in Swords, Co. Dublin and Kelly Geoghegan is a Paediatric Sleep Consultant. The consultancy has been going for four years and in 2020 we set up The Sleepy Stars Store as a separate entity under the umbrella of Sleepy Stars.
We sell products that Kelly would recommend through her 20+ years’ experience of childcare and tweaked with her input on each before manufacture.
Every order is packed and posted from Swords via An Post on the next working day.
About Kelly:
Kelly has 20+ years’ experience working in childcare.
She is a qualified Maternity Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician, First Aid Instructor and CPO. Kelly is a member of the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants and also the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants.
Over the past number of years Kelly has travelled the world working with children of all ages in varied roles. At the beginning of 2018 Kelly decided to stay in Ireland and help parents who have infants with sleep issues. Kelly is so fortunate that many of the parents she has helped over the years have recommended her to friends, family, co-workers etc. who are also praying for a good night’s sleep and Kelly is kept busy as a result. She hasn’t needed to advertise because her business has grown from word of mouth – not many can say that.
In 2018 Kelly helped 111 children and families to a good night’s sleep; children from the ages of 12 weeks to 5 years old. In 2019 Kelly helped 222 children become Sleepy Stars; in 2020 it was 277 Sleepy Stars. 2021 is seeing over 100 enquiries a week and currently 82 Sleepy Stars up to the end of March.
