Create Shipment for Order

Do I need to create a shipment?  YES

I manage my stock, do I need to create a shipment?  YES

  • You MUST create a shipment if you manage your stock.  The stock on your dashboard will state the available stock to sell plus the stock that has not yet been dispatched.  If you do not create a shipment, the stock quantity will not reduce on your dashboard.
  • Creating a Shipment generates an email to the customer.  It is in the seller T&C's that a seller must keep the customer informed on their order.

  • You will need to create a shipment in order to change the staus of your order from Processing to Completed.

Creating a Shipment

Once you have shipped your product to the customer, either via An Post , Royal Mail, Parcel Force, DPD etc, you will need to notify the customer that the package is on the way to them.

You will do this by marking the order as shipped. This will generate an email to the customer.

From your Order page click on Ship. Enter the postage carrier and the tracking number. If no tracking number is available, type in N/a or Standard Post.

It is imperative that this is completed for each order.

Why can't I create a Shipment?

Often the reason a seller can not create a shipment is that their stock has been manually changed to zero.

Consider the stock on your dashboard as your "stockroom".

  • If the stock quantity is set to zero, you do not have stock to send (create a shipment).

  • If the stock is set to one, and you have one processing order, you can successfully create a shipment.  However the product will show as Out of Stock to any potential customers as you only have one in stock and that is reserved for your processing order.

  • If you have 20 in stock on your dashboard, 10 processing orders that no shipment has yet been created for, only 10 products will be available for sale to potential customers.
