MyDigitalCottage

Hi my name is Dave and I am the maker of all the items in my store. I'm design and produce all of my products from in a little workshop in Cork City but can be found at the Marina Market, Cork from time to time. I initially designed the Hurley Holder for all of my kids hurleys that I found myself tripping over or could not find when it was time to go training. Finally there was a space saving way to keep aal of the hurleys tidy.

Sock Talk

SockTalk was set up in 2022 by Mike Shyne. Based in Limerick, Mike wants to help spread the conversation about mental health, based on the experiences of others and his own experiences suffering from anxiety. Mike appeared as the first male contestant on RTÉ’s fashion TV show The Style Counsellors in January 2022. Together with the team on the show, he was able to dramatically transform his wardrobe and style to better reflect his personality and physique. After his transformation, he immediately noticed the effects on his well-being and confidence and learned about the importance of simple acts of self-care. With SockTalk, Mike wants to show how clothes can both dramatically affect one’s mental health for the better. Not only do the products available on the website provide a positive message about mental health, but it also shows that simple gifts of clothing to another person can dramatically improve their wellbeing.

Margenta Jewellery

I have always loved crafting and being creative. Over the years I have practiced many different crafts like painting and sewing. I have attended a variety of classes and hold a certificate in Visual Art Practice from the National College for Art and Design. Some years ago I started making jewellery and I absolutely loved it. I have worked with many materials – silver, copper, glass, resin, beads, gemstones and lots more and have no particular favourite as yet – I like them all! My proudest moment on my jewellery making journey has been when my son asked me to make his wedding ring. I hope you enjoy looking at my creations as much as I have enjoyed making them and I would be delighted and indeed flattered if you wish to purchase any of them. Thank you for taking time to visit my shop. Jewellery loves to be worn so don’t leave it lonely in a box, wear it, enjoy it and let others admire it too.

Anita's Crochet Gifts

Hi I’m Anita and I love to crochet. I learned from a very dear friend and I now crochet in her memory. During lockdown, I created a craft room in my office space and it quickly became snowed under with yarn, hooks, finished blankets, wall hangings. You name it. Friends and family encouraged me to start selling my items and I couldn’t believe how well received my Christmas decorations were when I advertised through the Shop in Ireland Facebook page. I am so lucky to spend my spare time making decorations I love and sharing them with people who really appreciate the effort and love that goes into handmade items. Thank you so much for reading all that, I’m delighted you stopped by to have a look.

Cuige Coins and Crafts

I have collected coins for some time and have had an interest in coins since I was a child. I now share that interest with my own children. I began to think of ways to give new life to old coins that are not of significant interest to collectors. Coins that have a high mintage and therefore are of less interest to collectors. I made myself a keyring from one of my favourite of these types of coins (the pre decimal half crown) in 2022 and from there it began. Others asked me to make key rings from coins that they like and I started to make keyrings as a hobby. I started making pieces of jewellery with coins and continue to try and think of different ways to create with vintage coins to give them new life and keep part of our history alive. In 2024 I started working with silver and copper clay. All of my hand made fine silver jewellery is made with 999 fine silver clay. I also use copper clay to sculpt some of the copper pieces. Both types of clay are 100% recycled material. I then started making handmade jewellery using recycled 925 silver and copper.

Jacinta Callaghan Art

Welcome to my world of creativity! My name is Jacinta Callaghan, and I am delighted to share a glimpse of my journey with you. Nestled in the picturesque village of Kerrykeel, Co Donegal, I thrive in an environment that fuels my passion for both hairdressing and art. For as long as I can remember, I have been captivated by the world of art. From drawing and painting to knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking, and cooking, creativity has always been at the heart of my life. Over the years, this passion has only grown stronger, allowing me to explore and master various artistic mediums. The lockdown period two years ago was a pivotal time for me. It offered me the precious gift of time—time to dive deeper into my artistic pursuits and create a unique line of merchandise. During this period, I also ventured into the beautiful landscapes around me, capturing moments with my camera that would later inspire my paintings. While I enjoy working with watercolours and acrylics, my heart now belongs to oil painting. I am thrilled to dedicate my Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays entirely to my art. These days are filled with the joy of painting and designing a variety of merchandise. My artworks have found their way onto mugs, chopping boards, coasters, slate, cushions, key rings, and baubles, each piece reflecting a part of my creative journey. From Thursday to Saturday, I return to my other passion—hairdressing. In my salon, I embrace the opportunity to connect with my clients, bringing out their best through the art of hairdressing. This balance between art and hairdressing allows me to enjoy the best of both worlds, enriching my life with diverse forms of creativity. Thank you for visiting my page. I invite you to explore my artwork and perhaps find a piece that speaks to you. Whether it's a painting, a beautifully designed mug, or a unique key ring, I hope my creations bring as much joy to your life as they do to mine. Warm regards, Jacinta Callaghan
