Heartfelt Gifts

Hello, My Name is Carol and I make all sorts of hand crafted goods – including these 100% wool needle felted gifts, each one completely unique and take hours to make. The little robins make an ideal “In memory of” gift, while the other little characters feature some of the cutest wildlife Ireland has to offer – including our special Irish hare. My background is as a professional graphic designer and artist – some of my work adorns the streets of Dublin on permanent display. I had an overwhelming waiting list on my previous work  – so I will try to post new stock on a regular basis. PS if you want me to personalise the tag that hangs off the gift – just let me know.

Gift a little Boulder

My name is Toni Guinan and I am a self taught artist working in the medium of natural stone, wood and recycled glass based in Co.Offaly. I love the creative side of life and my main inspiration comes from Mother Nature herself. All my creations are made with passion and each piece is unique. I try to approach each piece with a desire to leave each stone fully in tact and then use arrangement and sometimes a little colour to bring the piece to life. I love to work on commissions and bespoke pieces transforming beautiful natural stone, wood, recycled glass and metal into a piece that will be treasured.   Warm regards Toni I

Rodgerson Handcraft

Hello and thanks for visiting my shop! Welcome to my sewed products and knitted creations! I’m an avid knitter and sewer, which comes as no surprise as I’ve grown up in a home filled with sewing machines and knitting needles. My mum made clothes for myself and my sister. My Aunts Shirley, Eileen, and Katie and both Granny’s Isobel and Catherine were all talented home sewers and knitters. To say these skills are in my blood would be an understatement. I love the idea that items we sew and knit can become treasured items. I love bright, colourful and fun fabrics. I hope this translates through the fabrics I choose in creating my post breast surgery pillows, car accessory bags and table accessories. Being part of the this community and having a shop here allows me to have the world at my doorstep and I am so grateful for the platform it has given me. I pride myself on the quality of my work. I hope you enjoy my sewed and knitted creations as much as I’ve enjoy making them. Thanks so much for reading this biography, Mary Rodge

Mini Inish

Hi, I'm Ciaran! I'm a native of Derry City, dad of one, keen amateur sportsman and love Irish history and literature! I create these unique pieces (in my own kitchen!) with the aim of highlighting the incredibly rich heritage of ancient Ireland, with a particular interest in my own backyard of Donegal. I have a background in model making and sculpting and have tried to recreate the majesty of our heritage sites as faithfully as possible, with each being completely created and painted by my own hands. These are the beginning of a range I am creating to showcase the lesser known hidden gems of Irish heritage, bringing pieces of ancient Ireland into people's homes. Created using locally sourced paints and plaster, I pride myself on delivering a piece that is totally unique and holds up to close inspection and scrutiny. Having grown up in a proud Irish household where indigenous art and literature were highly valued, I have been interested in our ancient history and ancestors for as long as I can remember. I am so happy to be able to create these pieces and share my love for our cultural heritage with others of the same mind. These pieces look, feel and weigh like genuine stone, you will not find these available anywhere else on Earth!

Helen Marry Stained Glass

Helen Marry grew up on a family farm near to Newgrange in the very heart of Ireland’s historical Boyne valley and from an early age produced handcrafts for sale in her mother’s craft shop. She trained originally as an agriculturalist and subsequently worked in community and adult education before taking time out to concentrate on her family. During this time at home Helen developed further her passion for crafts and focussed particularly on stained glass, taking a number of courses in the discipline. Having initially produced pieces for family and friends Helen has decided to share her work with a wider audience. Helens work is strongly influenced by the art of the great Neolithic cemetery in the bend of the Boyne, where she still lives and works. All the pieces are original designs, are hand-cut, hand-joined and finished by Helen in her home studio beside the passage grave of Knowth. Her colours are those of nature, soft greens and blues enlivened by reds and yellows, the lines in her work are reminiscent of the curves of the great tumulus in the shadow of which it is created.
