Small Pets Grass Growing Kits,
The importance of Grass for your pets.
n
Is wheatgrass good for pets?
nCats, rabbits Guinn pigs & dogs instinctively chew & eat Grass to obtain vitamins, minerals and live enzymes provided by fresh raw, whole foods like Grass. Unlike wild animals, they typically do not have access to healthy fresh greens.
n
n
nIf your pets live indoors or in pen, Betterplants grass kits give them access to fresh Grass and vital nutrients they would otherwise miss. And may also prevent them from eating your houseplants.
n
Dogs & Cats
nDogs and cats that go outdoors will eat Grass, but it has little or if any nutritional value. The Grass sometimes is sprayed with chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which could be harmful to your pets. Offering them our grass kits is a safer, healthy alternative.
nFresh Grass from our kits may improve bad breath due to the high chlorophyll content found in wheatgrass—new Grass aids in digestion and hairball control.
n
nBoth dogs and cats are on a high protein diet. Adding greens to their diets helps to balance the nutrients your cat and dog need for good health. Animals need fibre in their diets just like people do, and the Grass contains lots of fibre.
n
Rabbits, Hamsters , Guinea Pegs
nWheatgrass makes an excellent addition to your bunny’s, hamsters, Guinea Pigs diet, is easy to cultivate and grows fast. You do not need a garden; you will get everything in the kit to get started. However, just because it is a grass, people may want to replace wheatgrass with hay. Do not because it is less in fibre compared and will not effectively wear your rabbit’s teeth or promote healthy gut motility and digestion.

What Exactly is Wheatgrass?
nWheatgrass is gluten-free when harvested from a growing wheat plant without any seeds.
nWheatgrass is the freshly sprouted leaves of the wheat plant. When people hear wheat, they automatically think of gluten. However, the real Grass itself does not contain gluten, which is only found in the seed kernels of the wheat plant, not in its grasses.
n
nWheatgrass is nutritious as it has vitamins A, C, E, K, as well as thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, potassium, zinc, iron, copper, selenium, magnesium, dietary fiber and so on.
n
n
n
nCats can be finicky. So, if at first, your cat does not take in licking the water cats will often discover the Grass and realize it is a treat.
nTip: If your pet does not like the Grass, but you would like them to benefit from its nutritional properties, try chopping it up and adding it to their food.

We source all our seaweed from Irish suppliers and make sure they are a 100% Natural product. We have been using seaweed products in our garden for years and found that there were a lot of products on the market that did not really do what they would claim to do, that they had a lot of chemicals in them and some were so watered down that the goodness was gone out of the seaweed.
