This is the author's first book of Poetry. The subject matter is a journey through the poet's life and his observation of his surroundings including nature. The collection is presented as a chronological journey, with the first poem written in 1972 and progressing up to 2016. As the title suggests taking time to browse through this book is as good as taking a walk to de-stress and take time some time out. The overall tone of the book is uplifting and relaxing.

Realising how lucky we were to live in the countryside during the difficult Covid times., we developed Walking with Ponies, a small family business to combine the tranquility of our natural surroundings and the therapeutic effects of interaction with our rare breed native ponies. We offered short walks accompanied by our ponies and knowledgeable guides to encourage visitors to learn about and appreciate our nature and rare native pony.
With all restrictions a thing of the past, we no longer provide the farm visits but we continue to promote our natural surroundings and our Kerry Bog Ponies. Irish people have an innate affinity for our countryside, our natural surroundings, and our indigenous breeds.
Walking with Ponies continues to provide gift items that reflect the richness of our natural environment and celebrate our special Kerry Bog Pony.
